Inge Carolus, an international model, actress, and humanitarian, has risen from a small town in Worcester, South Africa, to the global stage of New York Fashion Week. Her journey from a young ballerina to an internationally published model is a powerful story of resilience, ambition, and purpose.
Early Beginnings: A Love for Ballet
At the age of five, Inge took her first ballet class and instantly fell in love with the art form. By seven, she was inspired by her first ballet performance, The Nutcracker, which fueled her dream of becoming a professional ballerina.
Her talent shone early—at just 10 years old she won New Zealand’s Award of Excellence in Ballet and later received the country’s Prestigious Award of Honour. With scholarships across Brazil and Australia, she trained at the Australian Ballet School, one of the world’s most renowned academies.
Overcoming Setbacks and Rising Stronger
Inge’s ballet career reached its height when she performed professionally with the Australian Ballet and later starred as Clara in The Nutcracker. However, an Achilles injury threatened to end her career.
Instead of giving up, she rebuilt her strength through intense rehabilitation and fitness training. Her determination earned her 14 international ballet scholarships in the USA, proving that setbacks can be turned into comebacks with persistence and self-belief.
A Passion for Health, Acting, and Humanitarian Work
Beyond the stage, Inge pursued academics and earned a Bachelor of Health Science in Occupational Therapy. She has worked with children with disabilities, cancer patients, and individuals recovering from serious injuries, combining healthcare with compassion.
She also founded the Inge Carolus Global Impact Movement, raising funds for disadvantaged children in Africa. Through initiatives like A Touch of Class, she has donated thousands toward children’s mental health services and was recognized for her humanitarian contributions.
In addition, Inge expanded into acting, appearing in New Zealand’s hit series Shortland Street and international Netflix productions.
Rising as an International Model
Inge transitioned into fashion and quickly became a recognized face on runways and in major publications. She trained under professional model coaches, worked with global beauty brands, and in 2024 earned the title Queen of Fashion.
Her work has been published in over 20 international fashion magazines across New York, Los Angeles, Milan, and Paris, solidifying her place in the global modelling industry.
New York Fashion Week: A Dream Realized
In 2025, Inge achieves one of her biggest goals—walking as an official runway model at New York Fashion Week for designer Marc Defang.
Launching her new venture, “Inge Carolus The Brand”, she aims to inspire women worldwide to embrace health, confidence, and authenticity. Her mission is to be a “model with a purpose,” breaking barriers in the fashion industry while encouraging young women to never let limitations define them.
